This weekend we had an overnight camp at Millwood for the older kids from our Concordia Kids Church.
We were blessed with great weather and had a wonderful time playing games, learning from the Word, exploring the museum and mines, and enjoying worship and marshmallows and hot chocolate around the fire at nightime!
Many thanks to SAN Parks for their help in making this possible!

We commemorated our Savior's death on the cross today in a solemn service. Thanks to Martin Young for the video sequence below, which played during worship.
You can hear the service's worship on our Sermon's page (unfortunately the sermon itself was lost to a technical error).

We hosted another of our regular Newcomer's Lunches this Sunday at church.
Our pastor and elders and Sunday School teachers and cell group leaders and their families all attend so we can all get to know new folk who have recently joined our church or who are thinking of joining.
Blessed with a beautiful day, we were able to sit outside...
...enjoy great food...
...have fun getting to know each other better...
...and generally have a good time together as God's people!

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday School camp this weekend at the SU Carmel Valley site near Victoria Bay.
We shared great times on the beach, doing the obstacle course, participating in teachings and worship, and around the fire with marshmallows and hot chocolate at night time.
Praise be to our Father and our Saviour for this tremendous time together!

We have been blessed by a visit from Les and Bev Marshall from Australia. Les and Bev played a vital role in our church for many years before emigrating Down Under, and it was wonderful to catch up with them and to hear how faithful God has been to them.
If you would like to ontact them you can reach them at marshwood@pacific.net.au.

We had a wonderful lunch today to welcome newcomers to our church, attended by by both newcomers and everyone involved in leadership in our church (our pastor and the elders, worship leaders, small group leaders, and our Sunday School teachers).
(Above, every who attended. Click to see a larger version).
Everyone enjoyed both the great meal and the opportunity to make new friends.
Thanks to all those who cooked, baked, served food and drinks, cleaned, made labels, issued name tags, printed our rock and labeled our stones, set tables, cleared tables and chairs, etc - and thanks to Andre and Monique Vercueil for all their work organising the lunch.
If you are new in our church and have never been to a Newcomer's Lunch, please let Andre and Monique Vercueil know so that we can invite you to the next one!

Easter Friday: After a moving sermon by our pastor James van Heerden (just returned from New Zealand), the whole church came forward to add our "sins" to the cross with red strips symbolising the blood from Jesus' hands.
Easter Sunday: Our flower display, changed to reflect the glory of our risen Lord! Listen to James' sermon here.
